What is a Township Fiscal Officer
A Fiscal Officer is an independently elected public official with separate duties from the Township Board of Trustees and is elected to a four-year term commencing April 1 after the November election.
The Fiscal Officer has all the fiscal responsibilities of the Township including paying bills, payroll, and receiving revenue as it is distributed to the Township. In addition to the fiscal duties, the fiscal officer maintains an accurate record of the proceedings of all the Board of Trustees meetings.
