Spring Clean Up Day
This year's Spring Clean Up was held on May 6, 2017, from 8:00 A.M. - 3:00 P.M. Dumpsters, tire bins, and oil containers were available for use at the Administration Building 6032 Morris Road.
In total, 12 dumpsters were filled to the brim, at least 100 galloons of oil were collected, a large pile of tires, and stacks of paint were collected. In addition, the Morris Road and Vonnie Vale parks were walked, weeding was completed at every building, mulch was spread at the Fire Department, and Canal Road was walked for garbage.
A huge thank you to the various community groups, scout troops, employees, Fire Corp members, trustees, and families who pitched in to make Clean Up Day 2017 a success,
Thank you also to the the businesses who donated lunch - Chipotle, Chick-fil-A, Dominoes, Vitales, BW 3's, and Jo Jo's Cupcakes and an EPA Grant will assist in deferring much of the Clean Up Day cost.
