Thanks to the persistence and work of an active group of residents a beautiful veterans tribute is being brought to fruition in Fairfield Township.  The memorial will be a very important addition to Heroes Park off of Morris/Millikin Roads.  

At this time an Engineering Task Group is working to secure proposals for the structural engineering and the site survey work. Donations to date and current balance: $84,295.50 gross and current net is $44, 688. The primary outstanding billing is for the final payment on the granite for Phase 1 and 2 due in May. for $31,925.

There will be a Memorial Day Observance Program which has been confirmed for Monday May 24 at 7 PM. Musical performers from Fairfield City Schools and VFW will be participating.

A Veterans Registry is on the website: www.fairfieldtwpvets.com and being used to capture a record of Township veterans.  Click on Vets Info. Encourage your friends and neighbors to register if they have not done so yet if they wish to be on our Veterans Monument Wall.
